Speaking Out

stonewall

I still can’t believe that I actually found a small, small amount of meaningfuls in 1 of Jay Chou’s songs.

Oh well…

<Translation>

If discontent and complaints are all you have against this world

You won’t have the guts to crawl back up when you fall

Why are we, human beings so fragile and naive

If you would just turn on the TV and you will see (I’m guessing CNN lol)

How many people are struggling and fighting to live on

Shouldn’t we be more appreciative for what we have

Be grateful for what you have, even if you don’t have (I don’t really get this part)
<End>

This place that we call home is in quite a woeful condition as we speak but we must not give in to injustice.

We, as NATIVES and RIGHTFUL CITIZENS of this country must SPEAK OUT against the injustices done against US, RIGHTFUL CITIZENS and our MOTHERLAND.

Amidst widespread perceptions that this land has no hope, we must stand firm.

We are not from India.

We are not from China.

We are not from Indonesia.

We are citizens of MALAYSIA.

We must speak out.

We must not be silenced.

I will break the silence.
